The Lexus LF-A supercar looks fantastic, packs a sledgehammer-like 5-litre V10 engine behind the front wheels and can spit road out of the back at the rate of more than 200mph.
But please Lexus, let us drive it.
Lexus insiders say it has excellent weight distribution, which should make balanced handling a certainty.
But while they put the finishes touches to it they’re still teasing us with glimpses of camouflaged test mules hacking around the world’s race tracks, and stunning, but sadly static ‘concepts’ at the world’s motor shows.
And now we’ve heard the Lexus LF-A will enter the Nürburgring 24-hour race in May as part of its on-going development.
Why can’t they just build the thing?
We’ve been waiting far too long for a real performance car from the Toyota stable. Not since the Supra has there been a car to put the fear into Ferrari.
